1st Listen: Never Normal Drops New Names – Mastah William & Isis Swaby

Here’s a taste of some fresh new music to jumpstart your 2016 playlist. Never Normal announces New Names, a split tape series featuring bold new soundmakers from cities worldwide. 1 tape, 2 eps, 100% jams.

Ready? Grab “Kittyhole”, a free download from Mastah William below.

The first project in the New Names series comes from Mastah William (Belgium) and Isis Swaby (Harlem, NYC) sharing the tape  Side A: Between Heaven And Space and Side B: Gingerbread Loops.

While the young Mastah William brings a new smooth take on golden-era drum slaps and samples, Isis Swaby brings you deep into her own ethereal riddims with her production – the daughter of dub music legend, Augustus Pablo, she is no stranger to innovation.

NEW-NAMES-1

Original artwork comes from Baltimore artist, Theresa Chromati, and it’s tasty.

New Names drops 3/8/16 on cassette on our Bandcamp, iTunes, Google Play, and worldwide digital outlets. Stay tuned for more cool drops from the upcoming record.
